The European e-commerce market is still growing strong, and all over Europe (online) retailers are doing their best to please and serve the customer. At the 2011 Global E-Commerce Summit in Barcelona, the German music equipment retailer Thomann.de was allocated first prize in the award for the best online shop in Europe. The Silver Award went to Tailorstore.com (Sweden) while the Danish Nemlig.com won Bronze.

The jury –representing 8 participating countries!- revealed its decision during a ceremonial dinner at Casa Llotja de Mar on the evening of Tuesday May 24, 2011 following a shop concept presentation by all of the participants at the Summit The 2012 ceremonies will take place at the 4th Global E-Commerce Summit in Barcelona, on Tuesday June 5, 2012.
