The inaugural event of the first entirely international gathering
of Global Leaders in e-commerce, with a full
programme of 20 speakers from across
the globe, will take place in Amsterdam on the 27th through 29th
of October 2008. E-commerce (online selling) is one of the fastest
growing industries in the world. Shoppers have quickly embraced
the convenience, selection and cost-savings of online retail. Retailers
have grown large and profitable e-commerce businesses and are learning
how to leverage multichannel strategies that contribute to increases
in store shoppers, smarter merchandising decisions and deeper relationships
with customers. Despite all this success, there remain enormous
opportunities for global expansion.
The Global e-commerce Summit, an initiative of Shop.org (USA) and
EMOTA (Europe) aims to explore global opportunities for digital
retail as well as provide you with the tools and strategies to apply
in your business practice today. Hear first hand from online retail
thought leaders as they share their successes and failures in business
strategies, explore creative business models and present their vision
of the future.
By presenting specific case studies from global leaders, the summit
will examine factors such as regional strategies, cultural differences
and consumer trends.
